A Beast Touch the Mountain

A new documentary about the fighting spirit of Appalachia, and the dark heart of American Oil. By filmmaker James Mottern.

A band of Appalachian women in Bent Mountain, Virginia fought for a decade to protect their land and their way of life against a greedy and corrupt fossil fuel pipeline. The fight gets tougher and more violent as mysterious shell company Mountain Valley Pipeline gets a laid-out-in-law go-ahead from Joe Manchin to put pipe in the ground.

For they could not endure the order that was given, 'If even a beast touches the mountain, it shall be stoned. '
